Is it possible to transfer software from an old computer to a new computer?
Posted by admin in 6 on 12 29th, 2009I’m thinking of buying a new computer but I want to have some software on there that I already have on my old computer. Can I use some kind of transfer-cable to move software to a new computer? For example, I have Sony Vegas 8 (movie editing software) but I don’t have the installation disc anymore. Could I transfer it to my new computer?
If all else fails, couldn’t I take some of the internal parts of the old computer and place them in my new one?
Unfortunately its not a simple as just moving the HD across or copying a few files.
There will also be DLL files in the windows directories and the registry settings will also need to be copied before the program will run correctly. Doing it manually is possible, if you know what you are doing and are not afraid to use a registry editor. But get it wrong and you can trash your system.
If you still know your serial number you may be able to download a copy from the sony website. You may want to contact sony customer support and see what options they can offer you.
Failing that then a software transfer tool such as Easy PC Transfer or similar, which copies the registry as well as the files.

Posted by admin in 3 on 12 29th, 2009I just passed my real estate exam. I don’t know where to apply as real estate sales agent and also get training on loans to be a better advocate for my clients. This will be my part-time career at this time since I am currently working full-time in the medical field. Any advice or ideas would be great.
You need to forget doing both, it is illegal in almost every state. Conflict of interest.
Since you are not going to be available during normal business hours, when 95% of the work is done you will need to apply everywhere to find someone to take you. Expect to have to pay monthly for the position as well.
You will be almost impossible to train, as you are not available when the banks are working (9-5), the title offices, the inspectors or appraisers.
I am not even sure how you would manage to close a loan not being available unless you are allowed to leave your other job at a moments notice.

Try to get a website online where people can see what you do.
On there you can maybe offer a discount if they book through the website.
I would also (if you have not done that yet) start building up a list of your visitors. Ask them for a name and email. If you then have a quiet period, you can sent these people an email and again offer a small discount for bookings / sales
How do you get your real estate License in California ?
Posted by admin in 3 on 12 26th, 2009I am 19 years old and want to earn my License to work as a real estate salesman. I bought a DVD course from Lumbleau Real Estate school. After I am done with all the material can I go take my test right away or do I have to take more courses? What are all the requirements ? A detailed answer would be much appreciated !! a; check out California’s department of real estate site to see if Lumbleau is an authorized
school to dispense RE info for licensees for taking the sales person test.
if it is not, you have to find one [school] that you like that is.
b; after you find that you have successfully an authorized school’s tests, and gotten
a diploma from them, you are authorized to sign up to take the state salesperson’s test.
c; i hope you have decided at this time whether you want to work as a buyer’s agent or
seller’s agent, and that you are smart never TO BE A dual agent, even though it is
legal to be one.
i hope you have found either a franchise or independent to hang your license with.
[they both also offer desk fees for 100% agents, or split fees with no desk charges.
if you go with an independent agency, it is likely, if you chose to go buyer's agency
only, the broker will not require you to join the absurd NAR.

I want to major in business and marketing only to have something to fall back on if the market doesn’t pick up. Do i need to take financing or is business/marketing okay? I know i need to take real estate classes and everything but i need to know what college courses would help me more - business/ marketing or business/financing.?

Any of those classes would be helpful, but to become successful in real estate you need:
Expertise in all aspects of buying and selling homes (or commercial properties)
Hard work
Networking
Excellent customer service
The ability to live on an unpredictable income stream
continuing education about the marketplace, legal issues, government regulations.
What software can I use to capture video scenes?

save yourself the time in downloading and installing software when Microsoft comes with its own piece-o-crap video editor. it is called windows movie maker. If it is an AVI file, simply import it and and cut it into whatever clip you need out of it.
Windows Movie Maker can be found in start -> all programs -> accessories -> windows move maker

What is the best music recording software for musicians?
Posted by admin in 6 on 12 18th, 2009I am a singer and play piano and sing. I currently have audacity but it is really crappy and I now have money to buy some software. Any suggestions for software, brands or stores for me?
there are quite a few out there, pro tools 7 is probably the best, but you need to by the harddrive that comes with it so it will work. i personally like adobe audition 3, its simple and straight forward. theres also sony acid pro 6 which is probably my second favorite. sony sound forge 9 is alright depending on what kind of eq you want to do. fruity loops 8 is a nifty tool as well, you can record as well as create your own songs using the built in instruments on the program. theres some others like cubase, cakewalk, and guitar tracks pro. ive never used any of those personally. all of these run around 100 bucks or better. if you are feeling cheap there is a program called audacity that is pretty straightforward. just google it and its a free download.
Door Hanger Marketing Ideas for a Small Business?

I plan on having the front of the hanger say something catchy, and the back having all of our company info and details. Does anyone know or have any ideas on something catchy I could put on the front to get peoples attention? It does not necessarily have to be about insurance, although if it connected that would be great. Just something that will catch peoples eye, and at least give them some interest into seeing what is being advertised. Thanks.
I would make the front read and put DO NOT DISTURB on the front in big letters…then in small letters put, this "Homeowner is Busy Calling XXXXX Insurance Agency to Save Money"
Then put the specifics on the back.

You must be trustworthy because you will have keys to strangers’ houses. You must be upbeat in personality because there will be many disappointments. You must be punctual since people will be relying on you.
You will take people out looking at homes for sale. They will choose one and make an offer. You will write the offer. If it is accepted, you will hand them the keys in 30 days. They will tell all their friends about how nice you were. The friends will buy houses.
There is no state where sales are great. Stay where you are and get to work.
